How Class Works
This class consists of 50 lessons. Each will begin with a 6 to 10 minute video lesson which will be delivered to your email. During the lesson you will be given writing exercises that will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Each video lesson will also have an attached file that will contain the written transcript of the video class along with that days writing lesson.
When you sign up you can choose to receive the lesson every 3 days or once a week.
Teleclass with Sheila
The first and third Monday at 7pm pacific time, I will have a one hour teleseminar class that you can listen to online or over the phone. You will be able to send in questions, read your exercises and get comments and suggestions from me. These sessions will be recorded for those who cannot make the live call. Those who cannot make the call can send their questions in advance. You will receive a link each week in your email that will explain how to join the teleseminar. Since students will be starting the class at different times, these teleseminars subject matter will be based on the students who participate that day or who send their questions in advance.
Writing Partners
If you would like a writing partner, support in your writing life, or would like to post your work for comments from other students you can join Writers Connect, the private social network for students in this class. Upon signing up you will be sent and invitation to join if this interests you.
Class Blog
The class blog is only accessible to students and cannot be reached through the links on this website. You will find the link to the blog at the bottom of each lesson you receive. You can ask questions and I will answer them all on the blog so that everyone can benefit from the answers. You can also leave comments on the blog.
Editing Available
If you would like your class work read, critiqued or edited by one of my trained and experienced editors, who have at minimum a BA in English or Creative Writing, the cost is $5 per page (12 point double spaced). This includes clarifying content, line editing to correct any grammatical errors and written examples of ways you can make your writing stronger.
